BASE helps the Parks Conservancy achieve unprecedented outreach!

**ASLA Honor Award / Communications / 2016

The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy wanted to increase ranger-visitor contact at several key locations within the GGNRA.  Instead of making permanent infrastructure improvements, they were interested in a more versatile and cost effective mobile solution.  With BASE’s experience designing small mobile interiors, we provided strategic advice for the best suited vehicle, and a assembled a preliminary set of drawings that were successfully used to fund the project.

Since launching in 2013, the Roving Ranger has provided many of the functions of a visitor center and helped reach new audiences that find it difficult to get to the parks due to distance or limited transit options. Within its first year alone, the Roving Ranger served more than 9,000 people and attended 68 events!
